Carolina RS Wins in Maine with Support from North Coast Subaru
Apex, NC (August 1, 2005)

The 2005 Maine Forest rally was held July 29-30 based in Bethel, Maine. The Johnson/Nakamoto CarolinaRS team arrived in Maine planning to charge forward for a class win. Sacramento Realtor Mia Mull of Mia Mull and Associates made participation in the Maine Forest Rally possible for the team and they answered in appreciation with a convincing class win.

Out on the stages the team stormed into the lead of Production GT and didn't look back. With the support of North Coast Subaru in the service area the bright orange CarolinaRS WRX was kept healthy and survived the event with barely a scratch.

Friday's stages were fast and flowing and went smoothly for the team. Into Saturday the rally continued to progress smoothly until a broken right rear wheel caused a scare on the last stage. With only two miles remaining the team soldiered on as quickly as possible and finished the event with very little damage to the car.

Johnson says: "The rally was great for us, we accomplished all of our goals including winning the class. I'm getting more comfortable with the car and Wendy and I are working well together. We're excited to be planning for the next event in Minnesota for late August."

Wendy adds: "We'd like to send a huge Thank You out to our Maine Forest Rally sponsors, Mia Mull Associates, Jeff Smith of DeltaV Motorsports and Chris at Hoyttech, please review their information below."
