Charity Car Show Success
Apex, NC (March 28, 2006)

Carolina RallySport was successful in raising over $1300 for local charities.  Charities included, the Women’s Center of Wake County, Mia Hamm Foundation, InterAct of Wake County, Women’s Center of Orange County, the Women’s Institute, Pretty in Pink Foundation, and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Local businesses that made the event possible by sporsoring and supporting charities were Lotus of Durham, William C. King Construction, Performance Subaru of Chapel Hill, Carneal Downey Construction Company, Peak Automotive, and Peak Restoration and Speed.  A special thanks to the following individuals that sponsored and supported charities, Doug Antonelli, and Kyle Gramling.

Hot rally news!  Just Announced-- ESPN X Games to add rally car racing.  ESPNs X Games held in LA in August 2006 will have rally competition and a portion of it will be broadcast LIVE on ABC Sports on Saturday Aug 5. The remainder of the rally championship season will also be broadcast on the ESPN network.

Local rally race team, Carolina RallySport (www.carolinars.com) and the international charity initiative, Unity06.com-(www.yearofthewoman.org) have teamed up for the 2006 rally racing season.  Nationally renowned rally driver, Matthew Johnson, has pledged his allegiance to the Year of the Woman campaign. To kick off the season Carolina RallySport sponsor, EventsLeader.com hosted an event at Hibernian Pub in Cary on March 26th.  Exotic and sports cars were on display sponsoring a women’s charity of their choice. Attendees were given the opportunity to support a charity of their choice based on the corresponding cars that were on display.  Fun for the crowd included a 50-seat poker tournament, and a free raffle.  Also, rally driver Matthew Johnson, from Apex, NC was in attendance to support the charities and mingle with attendees.
